Position: (Senior) IT Specialist for Global End User Services, Active Directory and Messaging (m/f)

End User Services of GfK is responsible for the internal Workplace IT Services and the roll-out of our future Workplace to several thousands of people worldwide. You're future responsibilities will be the following:

  • Interfacing with internally and externally hosted Active Directory, Messaging, Messaging Archiving
  • Analyzing all aspects of the existing infrastructure and providing recommendations to enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability and scalability
  • Troubleshooting unique and complex problems related to AD, Messaging and Archiving systems
  • Developing pioneering approaches to emerging industry trends and assisting with automation of the environment
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert to Support & Operations staff related AD, Messaging and Archiving
  • Evaluate/Recommen­d/Implement new products and emerging technologies
  • Identify and document system management best practices
  • Maintain service delivery and system functionality meeting all relevant SLAs

A pragmatic hands-on working style with a positive can-do attitude and a high client-orientation is key for us! We are looking for great team players (also in international and virtual teams) who first of all share our passion for data and our applications to drive the future of technology based Market Research.

Your experience typically includes:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems / Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years related experience or; a Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Very good English skills both in writing & speaking due to the role being Global
  • Advanced certifications (MCSE, MCP) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory concepts, Exchange concepts, Enterprise Vault Archiving concepts and best practices
  • Hands-on familiarity with Directory Services, Exchange, Enterprise Vault, migration to Office 365 and related components
  • Working knowledge of Mobile Device Management and its integration with AD & Messaging
  • Working knowledge of Active Roles, Reporting Tools and other related management tools
  • Experience with certificate-enabled applications, such as SSL/TLS, S/MIME, etc.
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Cross-platform knowledge (Mac, Android, iOS, Unix, Linux, Windows)
  • Software development or scripting skills using PowerShell, C#, ASP.NET, etc
  • Working knowledge on ADFS, FIDO, Single Sign-On (SAML, OpenID, OAuth)
