Our client is a professional Agriculture organization, based in Belgium.
The company of our client develops seed species in vegetables. It does so for many different end users. Their focus is aimed at innovation and continuous improvement. As Manager Breeding Specialist, you will be conducting several breeding project for optimization of hybrid species. This will include collaborating with various departments within the organization. Having these responsibilities requires performance of the following tasks to the highest standards.
You will manage the breeding projects and be responsible for the following:
•Work in collaboration with the Marketing and Breeding teams to assure alignment of quality, improvements and market needs.
•Close co-operation with data and information specialists
•Implement planning, research and innovation into practice
•Prepare the breeding programs for implementation
•Ensure that quality processes are executed optimally to improve plant characteristics
•Seek opportunities to further improve customer satisfaction and quality
When you want to successfully fulfill this role you should have relevant experience in the following identifications:
•PhD in Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Genetics or related studies
•Between 5-10 years of experience in the breeding industry as breeding professional including standard/traditional breeding experience
•Medium/Strong knowledge and experience in plant stress physiology
•Strong writing and speaking skills in English, preferably also fluent in Dutch or other relevant languages
•Hands-on mentality to anticipate to the daily operations and strong team skills
•Enjoy traveling multiple times around the year
