In the role as Product Market Manager Pork you are responsible for your own product category, developing and implementing sourcing strategies in the area assigned to add maximum value to the business. In this

-You are responsible for the assigned product category range and the yearly set up of a commercial plan
-Develop and implement sourcing strategies in the assigned area to add maximum value to the business
-You determine customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information
-You determine product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders
-You follow the product streams and determine the demand
-Perform market assessments to identify current and future capabilities
-You oversee the valorization of your product range and as Product Market Manager you are responsible for a turnover of 150- 180 Mln
-You are responsible for building long- term relationships with large accounts
-Check turnover and margin rapports, and when necessary change strategies to come to an optimal market/selling strategy of available products
-Whilst traveling with the different country managers you will be actively coaching them, providing them with insights on product market share by developing product sales strategies.
-You maintain contact with various sales offices within and outside Germany to set up promotional structures / business plans / sales strategies / inform about market conditions
-Responsible for yield optimization
-You are responsible for the coaching of the different country managers (globally)
-Weekly reporting to Sales Director Industry


-Relevant Economic or Technical BSc or MSc degree
-Several years of experience in a comparable role in a similar size food business, focusing on food ingredients and ideally within Meat categories
-You have affinity with the Meat sector or similar products within the Meat Industry (not a must)
-You possess solid knowledge of sales, trade and procurement processes and procedures or have worked in a category management, product management and supplier relationship management role
-You have relevant experience in a matrix company and feel at home in an international environment
-You are an effective negotiator with excellent communication and presentation skills along with a strong customer and results-oriented work approach
-You can think analytically as well as work with efficiency and proficiency
-You are used to working in a stressful environment
-You are a real team player
-You are skilled in using MS Office and speak fluent German and English
