THE COMPANY

Our client is a professional Medical Devices organization, based in Zuid-Holland Netherlands.

Is a big player in ophthalmic surgery. They develop and manufacture disposables, instruments and units that are being sold in more than 80 countries.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a Product Manager you are responsible for managing the entire product life cycle for the equipment line. You perform core product management for the assigned product portfolio and ensure an optimal revenue, pricing, forecast, margin, market share and promotion of the product group. You are responsible for the product innovation pipeline of equipment defining the launch strategy, helping to understand the product positioning, identify key benefits, and target customers. As a Product Manager you are the internal and external “evangelist” for product offerings, working with the sales channel and key customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Managing the entire product life cycle for the assigned portfolio from strategic planning to tactical activities.
•Perform core product management for assigned product portfolio ensuring optimal revenue, pricing, forecast, margin, market share and promotion of the product group.
•Identify, assess and commercialize together next generation technology to drive revenue growth.
•Collect, analyse and interpret market data and customer information to help create product specific requirements.
•Monthly reporting and presentation of revenue, volume and margin performance for key product lines
•Direct the development of new product specific forecasts.
•Regular review of competitor activity and information.
•Lead (new) products pricing strategy.
•Provide key content for sales training execution for new products.
•Establish strong relationships with multiple influential professionals and decision makers - with authority to challenge assumptions and launch conditions
•Understand and manage the multi-stakeholder needs and key issues in order to successfully develop and position opportunities.
•Developing a product-marketing plan for key products in cooperation with marketing management.
•Driving the product innovation pipeline together with SPMD’s.

REQUIREMENTS

•Bachelor or higher education in Marketing or business administration.
•7-10 years experience in a similar product management role in an international organisation.
•Knowledge of capital equipment and consumable product relationship is advantageous
•Team player, strong communicator, good commercial and financial understanding.
•Excellent coordination & organizational skills.
•English native speaker and preferably one other language (German or Spanish).
•Based in Zuid-Holland
