Our client is a professional FMCG and Food organization, based in Antwerpen Belgium.
Our client is a well- known producer of confectionery. With over 10 factories around the world and multiple commercial entities within Europe and globally. This client employs over 5000 people, and is looking for the Belgium site for an experienced R&D Manager.
The R&D manager we are looking for has a real drive for innovation and development. To answer the growing questions on development, you have to know what is takes to create products that are successful and are what consumers are looking for. You will be part of an enthusiastic team that has created relevant innovations in the last years, this positive trend has to be continued and you can be part of it. Next to New Product Development, in this role you are responsible for brand activation to create profitable revenue. Marketing know- how is an important part in this role therefore experience in; monitoring budgets, managing multi- disciplinary processes & projects are key. You also contribute to the development and implementing of marketing strategies. Knowing the latest trends and developments in the Food Industry is what you do naturally and you know how to translate these into R&D and marketing propositions.
-New Product Development to keep on growing the different brands.
-You are able to translate consumer insights into product concepts.
-You are responsible for the packaging development, you have know- how about possibilities and trends on packaging.
-Pricing and cost structures in combination with controlling.
-Create unity in the assortment in the different markets.
-You are responsible for collecting of market information like; market share, target groups.
-The screening of new export markets and the Marketing responsibility for those countries.
-The screening and monitoring of the product category in existing markets, market information, market insight etc.
-On Research & Development level you are responsible for developing new recipes, textures and packaging.
-MSc in Food Technology or similar
-5-10 years of (International = must) experience in FMCG / FOOD
-Experience with large multi- disciplinary projects
-Commercial feeling, you know what the market wants
-You are innovative, independent, creative, analytical, entrepreneurial and also a team player
-Languages: Dutch, English, German ( French )
-Willing to travel (internationally) up to 25% of your time
