Senior Translator (f/m/d)

Your tasks:

• Translate, proofread and post-edit technical German to English texts
• Manage projects and process orders, which includes clarifying and implementing customer-specific workflows and providing support for external translators
• Expand and maintain WACKER’s in-house terminology databases in RWS MultiTerm; carry out projects in RWS Trados Studio
• Development (and/or related support) and implementation of translation management workflows
• Work with the head of CC-LS to (help) maintain and expand IT components (administrator role)

Your profile:

• Degree in German to English translation or equivalent work experience
• Experience as a Senior Translator (f/m/d), with an emphasis on translation, editing and/or project management
• Broad range of general knowledge and experience in the fields of technology and/or the natural sciences – especially chemistry
• Confident style and years of experience with journalistic texts, including editing and post-editing
• Well-versed in conventional translation and publishing programs (RWS Trados, etc.)
• Diligent approach to work, ability to work under pressure, good communication skills and assertiveness
